Pause by Charlie Sellings
Do you believe in ghosts?
Neither do most people:
forced to close the door on their rationality,
to feel fear.
But what about the real ghosts?
The homeless,
the fortuneless,
the forgotten.
Tangled within the plot-holes of nature’s knot.
Wholly because nature’s not what they anticipated . . .
To fear feeling.
Society’s leftovers, right under our noses.
Whilst you get stressed over the best dressed,
Pause – for a second – and refute refusal.
Unlock your chest, stomach the unusual.
Hope and, open your heart.
Bite your tongue and choose to believe.
Not in ghosts, but in the ghosts.

Very well written, hard hitting words…
This is a great, hard-hitting poem which should make us all sit up and take note. Thanks for sharing.
